A Higher Consciousness

Most people are simply unaware of how fast and how far we have come as a collective consciousness, let alone how fast things are set to exponentially explode in the years ahead. Like the “Frog In The Kettle“, we’re seemingly immune to the increased heat as the water heads to the boiling point. In the last 50-75 years, there have been so many advances is the understanding of human consciousness and a renaissance in the whole Jungian concept of a collective unconsciousness. Just look as all the various areas of study and disciplines.

We are truly on our way to major and revolutionary jumps in consciousness.

It all began in earnest with the outlawed pyschedelics of the 50’s and 60’s. The illegal drug generation of the hippie days gave way to more legal and important non-drug approaches to psyche exprimentation. When you consider the advance that have been made in the following areas in the last few decades, you’ll get a sense that the rubber band of consciousnes is about to snap forward violently.

>Hypnosis
>Psychotherapy
>Rebirthing
>Eastern mysticism
>Spiritual shamanism
>Primal therapy
>Biofeedback
>Sensory deprivation
>Dreaming and dream state
>NDE and OBE
>Amy many more

We have no idea as to what major advances we are about to see in human consciousness. But the NDE (near death experiences) and thanatology advances are opening worlds of possibilities. The cumulative effect of where we’ve been and are headed will definitely reedefine life as we know it in a few short years.

Albert Einstein was a genius in so many ways; however, his view of the universe was so small compared to what we know today. Einstein developed the theory of relativity, but he saw the universe as static, unchanging. His view was that the universe was a large cloud of stars. How many he didn't speculate.

What we know today is that our solar system is a small part of the Milky Way galaxy which is just one of FIFTY BILLION galaxies: each one with one hundred billion stars or more. We also know that the universe is not static but alive and expanding. But here is the big one. Out planet, our galaxy, and our universe is ALIVE- conscious.

Giorgio de Santillana, in his great book, Hamlet's Mill said, "Man is unable to fit himself into the concepts of today's astrophysics short of schizophrenia. Modern man is facing the inconceivable. Archaic man, however, kept a firm grip on the conceivable by framing within his cosmos an order of time and an eschatology that made sense to him and reserved a fate for his soul. Yet it was a prodigiously vast theory, with no concessions to merely human sentiments. It, too, dilated the mind beyond the bearable, although without destroying man's role in the cosmos."

This isn't new thinking, it's just a growing consciousness. The Bible speaks of all creation groaning, and Plato described the universe as, "One whole of the wholes and a single living Creature which encompasses all of the living creatures which are within it. " This makes little sense to the small thinking egoic self that each of us listen to and embrace.

The significance of this growing consciousness, that the earth-universe is alive, is being propelled by a combination of scientific and spiritual efforts. Once we can get the religious crowd to quit trashing the scientific community and vice-versa we will be able to make even faster progress.

We need for the events that the scientific community seeing coming in December of 2012, and the Biblical messages that can be easily attached to 2012, to unite us to save our world.

For all my life I have been pushing towards a moving target. Every time I thought I would touch it, it would disappear like a water mirage on the sun baked highways of Arizona. Like the flowers and tress that lean towards the sun, I was reaching out for something as well- leaning towards the S-n.

There was a desire for “something“. I thought it was God. At age seventeen I was sure that I had found Him- or so I thought. Then I discovered that “Intentionality directly shapes reality“. But, my intentions were misdirected. This is a major secret that many misss in life.

Over the years, I’ve discovered that the God which religion has presented to me wasn’t satisfying those hunger pangs I felt within. Yes, God is real, but the picture that had been painted for me, of Him, sure wasn’t. The idea of reformation gave way to transformation; but, transformation of what?

I cleaned myself up, transformed my language, social behavior, ethical dealings with myself and the world, and tried to be obedient to all the laws of man (and God?). And then I came to the conclusion that what needed transformation was my consciousness! It took a long time to arrive at that destination because of my religious training which taught me to be afraid of the word “consciousness” as though it was the tools of demons or worse yet a New Age concept!

We need some new age thinking!
